China news agency, Washington, February 10 (Reporter Chen Mengtong) White House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre announced on the 10th that US President Biden will visit Poland from February 20 to 22.

Jean-Pierre said at the White House press conference that Biden’s visit will hold a bilateral meeting with Polish President Duda to discuss issues such as joint support for Ukraine and strengthening NATO. At the same time, he will also meet with the leaders of the member countries of the Bucharest nine-nation model (B9) to reaffirm the firm support of the US for NATO security.

The "Bucharest Nine-nation Model" was jointly proposed by Romania and Poland, and the first summit was held in Bucharest in 2015. The nine NATO East Wing members participating in this model include Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

Jean-Pierre also said that this visit coincides with the first anniversary of the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis, and Biden will make a special speech, indicating that the US continues to support Ukraine’s position.

Regarding whether the US will use this visit to announce new security assistance to Ukraine, Kirby, strategic communication coordinator of the White House National Security Council, responded at the press conference that Biden "will definitely make it clear that the United States will provide additional security, finance and other assistance to Ukraine".
